National Volcanic Park

Next we went to a national volcanic park where we saw demonstrations of how hot the ground was. One was a pit was dug where they put a dried bush into the hole and it caught on fire (pic. 1). They also shoveled up some rocks from the ground and put them in our hands. They burned your skin so everyone threw them down. The third was pouring some water into a hole that caused an instant geyser.

To create a barbecue they just have a hole in the ground with a grate over the top of it. (pic. 2).
