Awesome Rhodes!

Thank goodness I did not book a Celebrity tour today. I had a great time in Rhodes! Hopefully I will get to return some day to see some more.

The day started slow as we decided to have lunch on ship before heading out so I took a nap in the late morning.

Upon leaving the ship we notice the rain that had been threatening all morning was about to come down. We located a taxi driver to learn about the tour options. Two other ladies came up to see what the quote was and all 4 of us decided to share a taxi tour of the city. What a great decision! The taxi driver was an excellent guide. And we sat warm and dry in our taxi as the rain came down and flooded the streets.

First we drove through old town. Pics 1 and 2 are of two of the gates through the wall that surrounds the town.
